Our newest adventure begins in the streets of Old Havana, a U.N.E.S.C.O World heritage city. The folklore of this famous city is still palpable as you walk the cobbled streets being infused by the music and culture all around you. You feel as if you’re been transported back to a simpler time, a time where the vibrancy of music, art and dance energize this historic city.
From old cars to famous cigars we head West to the wilds of the Viñales. This valley is encircled by mountains and interspersed with dramatic rocky outcrops, spectacular caves and natural pools. Here the artistry of traditional techniques is still seen in agricultural production, particularly in the form of the Cohiba which you will experience firsthand.
Beautiful white sand beaches, aquamarine waters, pristine reefs are just around the corner to complete your Best if Cuba West adventure. From the city to the country to the beach… by foot, bike, horseback and paddleboard this adventure will have you feeling wild about Cuba!

Cuba can be a challenge. Often things don’t go as planned. Flexible travellers with a sense of humour consider it part of their Cuban adventure. Our Cuban partners work super hard to make your tour unfold seamlessly, but sometimes itinerary changes happen in light of hardships on the island.
TRIP ITINERARY
DAY 1: WELCOME DINNER
- Guests will be picked up at the airport and taken to their accommodations.
- We will meet at one of CAC’s selected favourite restaurant to welcome you to Cuba!

Day 2: OLD HAVANA
- 8:30am breakfast
- 10:00am-1:00pm Classic Car to Hemmingway House. (Duration: 3hrs)
- Option: Classic Bike Tour
- Lunch
- 2:00pm-5:00pm an interpretive walking tour of Old Havana. Old squares, market place, Obispo Street etc.
- 7:30pm dinner will be at one of CAC’s selected favourite restaurants
- 9:00pm evening walk to Jose Marti Main Square

DAY 3: VIÑALES VALLEY
- 7:30am breakfast
- 8:30am Transfer to the charming town of Viñales. (Havana – Viñales: 2.5-3hrs)
- 11:30am depart to our excursion, visit local Tobacco and Coffee farmers in the most beautiful valley in Cuba. (Hike –Distance: 3km, Difficulty: Easy to Moderate, Duration: 2-2.5hrs)
- 1:30pm lunch at Finca Agro-ecologica El Paraiso. Arguably the best authentic dinning experience in Cuba overlooking the entire Valley.
- 4:00pm Transfer to Havana. (Viñales – Havana: 2.5-3hrs)
- 8:00pm Dinner will be at one of CAC’s selected favourite restaurants.

DAY 4: CIENFUEGOS CITY / TRINIDAD
- 7:30am breakfast
- 8:30am Transfer to Cienfuegos, the ‘Pearl of the South’ (Havana – Cienfuegos: 3-3.5 hrs)
- 12:00pm City Tour
- 1:30pm Lunch at Rancho Cristal. Located at the mouth of the Bay of Cienfuegos, away of the city and in an authentic setting, you will find this exquisite Cuban cuisine restaurant. Take a moment to relax while your lunch is made and enjoy a swim in the clear blue waters of the bay.
- 3:00pm Transfer to Trinidad. (Cienfuegos – Trinidad: 1.5hrs)
- 4:00pm-5:00pm Check in to your hotel, freshen up and get ready for a walking tour of old Trinidad
- 5:00pm-7:00pm walking tour
- 7:30pm dinner will be at one of CAC’s selected favourite restaurants
- Evening wander in Old Trinidad.Get yourself acquainted with the area and sights to see and do.You will have more free-time in this unique and amazing city over the next few days.

DAY 5: EL NICHO WATERFALLS
- 7:30am breakfast
- 8:30am Transfer to El Nicho (Trinidad – El Nicho: 2hrs)
- 10:30am El Nicho Hike (Hike –Distance: 1km, Difficulty: Easy to Moderate, Duration: 1-1.5hrs)
- Lunch at El Nicho
- Transfer to Trinidad
- 4:00pm Visit the Sugar Mill Valley and the Iznaga Tower.
- Option: Interpretive walk through a Sugar Mill plantation from 1800s
- 7:30pm dinner will be at one of CAC’s selected favourite restaurants
- 9:00pm Learn the basic steps of salsa with your guide in a private setting. Don’t be shy and give it a try. Location will be determined on site with the group.
- Free-time in the evening to enjoy the live music, dance and buzz of Old Trinidad at night

DAY 6: ESCAMBRAY MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE 1 – NENGOA TRAIL
- 8:30am breakfast at hotel and depart to Topes de Collantes (Trinidad – Nengoa: 2.5-3hrs)
- Connect with our Russian 4 by 4 mountain truck.
- 11:30am-3:00pm Nengoa Trail hike / water cave swim / coffee plantation visit / lunch (Hike –Distance: 1km, Difficulty: Moderate, Duration: 3-3.5hr)
- Transfer back to hotel/Casa
- Free time

DAY 7: ESCAMBRAY MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE 2 – VEGAS GRANDES WATERFALL

- 10:30am-1:30pm Hike (Distance: 2km, Difficulty: Moderate +, Duration: 2-2.5hrs)
- 1:30pm Lunch at Bee hole
- 3:00pm Visit Local Artist / Coffee house and Chocolate house
- 4:30pm Transfer to Trinidad

- 9:00am-2:00pm hike, cave, snorkel (Hike – Distance: 1km, Difficulty: Easy to Moderate, Duration:3.5-4hrs)
- Option 2 – Finca La Lima Adventure
- 7:30am breakfast
- 8:30am depart to Finca La Lima (Trinidad – Finca La Lima: 30 min)
- 9:00am-2:00pm Hike or Horseback
