Enjoy a picturesque snowshoe hike along the Bruce Trail at the Petun Conservation Area led by one of our knowledgeable outdoor guides. After your snowshoe adventure you’ll visit Grey & Gold Cider Company to try some of the area’s craft ciders.

Level of experience

Beginners to Experienced – Don’t worry if you’ve never snowshoed before, we teach you everything you need to know!! We can tailor our tour to fit what you’d like to do – just a nice easy saunter or something that gets the adrenaline going!

Location

Snowshoeing (1 hour) at Petun Conservation Area on 2nd Line and cider tasting at Grey & Gold Cider Company (1 hour).

All tours must be pre-booked.

Availability

9:30am / 11:00am / 12:30pm / 2:00pm. Saturdays and Sundays (weekdays may be available by request). If you have a group larger than 12 ppl please contact us directly at info@freespirittours.ca.

What to bring

Water to drink (in a day pack so it’s easy to carry) and a camera!

What to wear

Winter gear: hats, gloves, boots & snow pants. Layers are recommended, so if you get too warm, you can take a layer off.

  We spent the August long weekend up in the Kimberley area with family and we were looking for things to do to fill our day. We found Free Spirit Tours and thought we’d try them out. It was great!! The price was reasonable, the staff were extremely friendly, the Beaver river was very easy to navigate. All in all, it was a great time! Would definitely recommend the one hour tour for anyone regardless of age or ability. There are longer tours for more avid paddlers.

  The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We did the 2-hour tour, and the river was calm. We really enjoyed the scenery. I would have liked more rapids or flow to make it more fun, but overall, we did like the experience. I recommend that they show you how to adjust your kayak for your feet to keep your balance better. The staff did not take the time to set up the equipment for any of us, most likely all beginners. We might come back for the 5 hours next time. The bugs weren't too bad, but you might want to bring some bug spray just in case.

  We chose to do caving for the very first time and I was so amazed at how I was able to get into tiny parts of the cave with ease. The tour guide did a great job explaining everything from start to finish.
